New Sock Patterns Available
The Snake Charmer Socks were originally done for The Knitter.com’s luxury sock club. Now I am making the pattern available to everyone. The sock is knit from the cuff down in Sunshine Yarns Soft yarn base. The cuff is a basketweave pattern that moves into an undulating lace pattern, just like snakes being charmed from a basket. The lace comes to a point on the instep of the sock. A fun and beautiful knit for solid or semi-solid sock yarns.
The Riptide socks were originally from The Knitter.com’s sock of the month club, but the pattern is now available to everyone. I finished knitting these in Hawaii and did the photo shoot at Waikoloa Village. The diverging cable pattern reminded me of a riptide current — hence the name. These socks are knit from the cuff down in Zitron Lifestyle which is close to a sport weight yarn. The pattern includes notes about knitting them at other gauges to create additional sizes. (Hint: you could also knit these in a fingering weight yarn very easily!) The solid color and classic cabling make this a true unisex pattern.
I still have more to update, including more yarnie birthday gifts and new Pink Dandelion colors!
