Why yes, Virginia, it is another sock pattern…
Lisa of Wabi Sabi Yarns and I have teamed up again to bring you a new sock pattern and colorway of the most awesome Tallulah Sock Yarn. The pattern and yarn are exclusive to the Knitter.com‘s luxury sock club for the time being. I know my pattern will be made available to the general public later this year. I am hoping the colorway (Not Your Ordinary Bird) will also be widely available some time in the future because it rocks. Seriously.
Anyway, on to the sock design… Meet Stacia.
The Stacia Socks are knit from the top down, starting with a twisted rib cuff that moves into a lace pattern that evolves down the leg and foot. I really wanted something that showed off the different shades in Lisa’s yarn. I think this pattern does the trick.
The lacy diamond motif has a series of wrapped stitches at the center — easy to work, but adds an interesting textural element. The diamonds transition to columns that flow into the heel flap and instep.
The pattern is written in 3 sizes with gauge suggestions for creating even more size variety.
I hope you all enjoy the pattern and yarn as much as I did!
