It’s a little sweater!
Unintentional radio silence there. Somehow the last 2 weeks or so have gotten away from me! How does that happen?! The good news is, though, that, while I have been working on some secret projects, I also have a new one to share with you all.
The Lexicon Cardigan!
This sweater was initially knit as a gift for one of my favorite little girls, but it turned out so cute, I had to turn it into a pattern for you all! It is a basic cardigan with a stockinette stitch body and a fancy ribbed yoke. The beauty of the ribbed yoke is that it gives the sweater a fun shape while allowing extra stretch for growing room.
The basic nature of the pattern makes it work well particularly well in semi-solids or even variegated yarns. (I used Sunshine Yarns Worsted Merino for this one. Can’t go wrong with Dani’s yarn!) It also creates a practical sweater for every day use that is still fun to knit. Love projects like that!
The Lexicon cardigan is knit in pieces from the bottom up. The pattern is sized from 12-month to size 8! I think I may undertake an adult version of the sweater soon.
