Banyan Tree Socks
Well, it has taken me a few days to get to back to telling you all about the list of new designs, but I am getting to it now. The first one I want to tell you about is the Banyan Tree Socks. The main reason I want to squeeze this in tonight is that this pattern is the sock pattern celebrating The Loopy Ewe’s fifth anniversary! Yep, that’s right. Sheri and the elves have been at it for 5 years now, and I have done 5 anniversary sock patterns. Congratulations, Sheri! Here’s hoping for many, many more anniversary celebrations!
On to the pattern! The Banyan Tree socks are knit from the cuff down using The Loopy Ewe Solid Series. (Super nice yarn, by the way. Highly recommend it for fingering weight projects. I know I have a few more projects worth to use!)
The sock starts with a twisted ribbing that moves into a leafy lace pattern. The leaves transition into miniature cable roots.
The little cables run down the heel flap and instep of the foot.
I love how feminine and delicate these socks turned out. And the best part about these socks? Well, you can go download the pattern free here!
