Behind again! It is amazing how time flies by sometimes. Life is good, busy, but good. And busy almost always means new designs! So, let’s talk about the Ceili Socks today.
The Ceili Socks are my latest design for theKnitter.com’s sock of the month club. These socks are knit up in Cascade Heritage 150. Now, normally, I am not a huge fan of heavier weight socks (these are sport weight), but I LOVE this yarn. Really, really love this yarn. It is soft, has a good nylon content for durability, knits up fast, and is, in all, a joy to work with. Will there be more socks using this yarn in my future? You betcha!
The socks themselves are knit from the top down. They incorporate a grid stitch ribbing and a slipped stitch cable that runs into the heel flap. A perfect sock pattern for a quick knit or a newer sock knitter.
Currently, this pattern is exclusive to theKnitter.com, but it will be widely available early in 2012. (Is 2012 really that close?!)
